As the individual responsible for selling your destination, attraction or product you likely do a lot of writing. Figuring out what to say and how to give it relevant to your customers so they will point up and spend money is one of the hardest things you do. It takes a lot of time to put together good copy for an e-newsletter, brochure or website.
Particularly in digital, where people get so much information at their fingertips, the motivation to put out fresh content is unending. With all that time (and metre is money) invested in developing content I wish you to think about how to do the matter all entertainment folks know how to do to hit the near of your content_package and repackage.
If you`ve heard me speak you`ve heard the case of The Creator of the Rings movies. They put those movies out on DVD a twelvemonth later their initial theater release, and I bought those DVDs as soon as they came out. Later they put out the box set and I bought that too. Then came the box set with the director`s cut and I bought that too. Then the box set with the director`s cut with the action figure, and yes, I bought that too.
I own the Lord of The Rings four times and it`s the Same CONTENT!
Same thing happens with greatest hits albums. Engelbert Humperdinck has around six versions of his greatest hits ever. I swear.
But let me get to the direct and let`s just use your e-newsletter (you are doing one, right?) as an example. If you are publishing an e-newsletter regularly that message should do three other things at least:
- Be promulgated as a serial of blog posts or website content.
- Become Twitter posts that relate to the series of blogs or website content (see #1 above).
- Be published on a Facebook Tab on your company`s Facebook Profile.
See, 1 out of every 3 people in the US is a member of Facebook. But I hope that 1 out of every 3 people is not on your email list. Even if your mama thinks you`re cute, you`re not that cute. And here`s a hint - use the Notes tab that comes as a piece of your profile already to avert having to plan a custom tab. For a capital representative of this, go to Tennessee Tourism`s Facebook profile and appear at the Notes page. You`ll see their award-winning e-newsletter content right there.
