Boston Band Crush: Information Crush: Amy's Shows List

Another busy busy week of medicine that will definitely prevent you rockin'. Thursday night has a big show at TTs with Hank and Cupcakes from Brooklyn and local favs Jeddo Stars and Naked on Roller Skates. Also on Thursday The Autumn Defense, which has members of Wilco in it, is at Great Scotts; The Big Wipeouts and The Fulltime Dreamers are at the Cantab and Shearwater, Damien Jurado and Horsefeathers are at the Middle East.

On Friday night you can assist the Milky Way celebrate its 17th Anniversary with music by Zili Musik. The Deep Heaven Now 2 Fest begins on Friday at both Pa's Lounge and Precinct with music by Endless Wave, MMOSS, Quiet Loud, Electric Zeus and many others. Plus if buy admittance to one club you get into both so you can run back and forward through Union Square between the 2 venues. Saturday is day 2 of the Deep Heaven Now 2 Fest with 28 Degrees Taurus, Vandelles, December Sound, Bobb Trimble's Flying Spiders and many many others again at Pa's Lounge and Precinct. Also on Sat the legendary Roky Erikson is at Royale with Boston's own Lyres on the bill. Over at the Home of Blues Nick Cave's band Grinderman performs and the Turn and Stars has Barrence Whitfield and the Monkey Hips. On Sunday night reunited sci fi surf band Man or Astroman is at the Middle East with the Dex Romweber Duo opening. Also on Sunday you can see the Lawrence Arms at TTs (just in typeface you didn't get tix for their Saturday show, here's your second chance); Roy Sludge is at Highland Kitchen and Tuung and the 1900's are at the Middle East. Monday nightZuZu's has Bell and the Bees, Birdlip and Invisible Hands and Great Scotts has the Coathangers. On Tuesday there's night of pop bliss with the Posies and Brendan Benson (love him) at Royale and a night of Bruuuuuuuuce at TTs with a testimonial to the Chief with Corin Ashley Band, The Dirty Truckers, Andrea Gillis Band, Hilken Mancini, Jenny Dee Friends, Dave Aaronoff, Brendan Little, Drew O'Doherty, Chris Keane, Jonathan Pape and Uke Springsteen. Wednesday night is all around the Billy Ruane Memorial Birthday Bash which is happening at both the Middle East and TTs and will get you going between the 2 clubs. The evening starts at 7p and about of the performers include: Lady Lamb the Beekeeper, Drug Rug, Peter Wolf, Chris Brokaw, Bill Janovitz (of Buffalo Tom), Pat McGrath with Steven Fredette, Jon Langford(from the Mekons), the Banditas and many many others.
