(heh) we had a mariachi band come in on Monday. they set low their interpretation of a leaf that is in a new song; working title "Mexico". if it works out the correct way, you'll learn it on the record.

Hayley is saying "hit that, hit that snare" at the beginning.


This strain was divine by the "second from the nearly dead" post on the band's LJ, when fans talked about what they were the most ashamed of. Hayley posted the lyrics of the strain on the LJ on April 9th, 2007

Brent: Why'd you pick "Misery Business" as the low single?


Josh: Because it's my favorite song. The ring does what I want!


*laughter*


Hayley: No, seriously.it represents the balance of the book so well. And it's really intense.it's definitely the nearly direct song, if you couldn't already tell, that's on the whole entire record.and I intend it was crucial to get that honesty out there.


Jeremy: I remember it sounds a lot like our old album, though.I don't know.what am I trying to say?


Hayley: Wait, yeah.I don't get it...


Jeremy: Alright, no.it's only an energetic song that does play us as a ring and the record.and it's got a lot of emotions in it which is another matter that we care and stuff like that.I don't know - I don't suppose there could have been a better song to get off with.

Hayley: Me neither.
