REWIND & TEMPORARY
I decided to meet these 2 songs because their "history" is rather similar. Both were first played during AWKIF era but the studio versions were released at the source of "Riot" era.
Temporary was first played at the source of 2006, as some people on the LJ mentioned in their reviews.
But for a while, this call was called "Untitled" because the band didn't define a name for it. Or at every show, the circle called the song according to the city they were in. For example in Chicago, the call was called "Chicago":
Some fans on ParamoreFans.com started to address the song "Temporary".The studio version was eventually released when "Riot" came out, in June 2007, in the webstore of Fueled By Ramen.
Rewind was also performed for the 1st time during Paramore's US tour at the origin of 2006. Hayley even messed up the lyrics in this video:
The studio version of the call was usable on the "Better Buy" edition of "Riot", in June 2007.
Brent: Ok, some people wishing to bed about "Rewind" and "Temporary" - if they'll ever get recorded.
Hayley: "Rewind" is on the Best Buy release. We get a lot of - here's the thing - we put out a lot of different records - I'll assure you why.
Josh: It sounds terrible.
Hayley: It's a demo, it's supposed to go bad. Ok, so basically, we had to put out a lot of exclusive versions for different stores so it helps us get better deals. I'll be honest - it's not cheap to put records in and you wish to get a safe spot so people can see it.
Jeremy: And they'll promote it better.
Hayley: So we gave Best Buy 2 b'sides - 1 b-side, no a hot rail and a b-side - "Rewind" - and it's a demo. And I'll be honest - my voice - I'm sort of off a small bit. That was a bad week for me recording.
Josh: *off-key singing* "Rewind to the 1st time..."
